Super Mario Advance 4 e-Reader Levels - Part 1
It's finally time to begin playing the awesome Super Mario Advance 4 e-Reader levels! Inspired by levels design features that are found throughout all of the other Super Mario Advance games, I would definitely consider these to be some of the very best Super Mario Bros. levels ever made!
Expect to see things like the vegetables of Super Mario Bros. 2, the Cape from Super Mario World, and the diabolical 1-way Flippers from Yoshi's Island! It's a grand collaboration of everything that has made Super Mario platformers great, and I really hope that you enjoy these extremely elusive levels!
For those who may not know, the e-Reader was a peripheral released for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002, and it was met with very low success. Its purpose was to act as a scanner which could be used to scan cards and activate new features in various games, or in some cases, even act as standalone games themselves. The were a total of four sets of SMA4 e-Reader cards released in Japan, although unfortunately only two of them made their way to North America. As a result, we only ended up receiving 11 of the almost 40 e-Reader levels that exist in total (12 if you include the Air Ship's Revenge promotional card that was available exclusively from Wal-Mart).
Thankfully with the use of emulators, it is possible for those who weren't fortunate enough to be in Japan to out hands on the real thing, to play the levels on our computers! In this playthrough I plan to play through every single e-Reader level ever created, including the super cool Super Mario Bros. 1 remake levels!
So sit back and relax, and be prepared to see what the New Super Mario Bros. games should really be like! Who needs 2.5D graphics and a penguin suit, I'd take these levels over NSMB's any day!

Super Mario Advance 4 along with the e-Reader levels is now available on the Nintendo Wii U eShop, making even the Japanese exclusive levels easily accessible to everyone! You can also still download the save file that I am using to play these elusive levels from the following link (you will also need a Game Boy Advance emulator and SMA4 rom):
