Mario Kart 8 - N64 Rainbow Road
The other Rainbow Road of Mario Kart 8! Notorious for being one of the longest race tracks in Mario Kart history, just about everyone was excited to see the Nintendo 64 Rainbow Road return in this game. So did it live up to its reputation? While it looks absolutely beautiful, has great music, and is an overall extremely fun track, it has one fundamental flaw: it's way too short!
You can't tell from this 60 second clip show, but the total time of this race was 90 seconds. That is the total time for ALL 3 laps! The problem is that they split the track into 3 chunks, rather than having normal laps like most other tracks do. That means that you only actually race around the track once before the race is over!
I guess that since this is 150cc things might be a bit quicker than if it was a slower mode, although a minute and a half is still disappointingly slow for what was once the monolith of all race tracks. The sad part is that the track is actually really great, so the reduced length hardly gives you any time to enjoy all of the work that was clearly put into it!
Anyway, this is another show glimpse at MK8 on the Wii U. I hope that everyone else out there who has it has been enjoying it! Expect my upload schedule to return to normal soon I really appreciate everyone's patience. :)
