This is a relatively small patch made by BMF54123 that incredibly improves the playability of Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels in Super Mario All-Stars (+ World works as well) on SNES by allowing Mario or Luigi to properly rebound down after hitting a brick and breaking it in Super or Fire form.

Using this, you can now properly run through the levels in more or less the same way as you did on the NES version. This video shows a comparison between the original NES version, the original SNES version, and the patched SNES version.
