45The Nintendo Entertainment System has 5 sound channels dedicated to making music and producing noises. On VirtualNES (an emulator) one of the features it has is the ability to turn off individual sound channels. So I turned down the all the channels with the exception of the triangle channel (bassline) and the master channel (as if I turn that down it cancels out the triangle channel). If you hear the some of the sound effects it is because, I guess, some sounds are sampled using the DCPM channel. DON'T QUOTE ME ON THAT AND CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG.
