This take was played on a RetroArch emulator with a PS5 controller.

I have a copy of the original Super Mario Bros. 3 game for NES but got a new gaming PC and wanted to test how well everything plays on it for convenience and try out this modified version.

This is just a full playthrough with the game's audio only and no commentary.

During this part I started a new file and completed Grass Land. I played the first level multiple times to get a feel for the new moves and different character physics. The game crashed at least once and I had to re-play most of the area too because I didn't use save states often enough. I stopped when my controller stopped responding. As of August 2024 I still never picked this file back up and am not sure if I will continue or just restart it. I might also prefer just re-playing it on an actual NES.
