57-9 is a huge maze. As long as you don't go all the way around the outside though, it shouldn't be too bad. Hammers or a fire flower really help in that level. The fortress is hard stuff. Tons of hard jumps that would be worse if I didn't have the hammer. Ludwig von Koopa is the biggest jerk in the game. I've never beat him without being hit. I tried getting the special message with the hammer suit, but it obviously didn't happen. And then on to the Dark World!
