This take was played on a real NES console on my 14" Magnavox CRT TV using an original NES controller and the Powerpak flash cartridge.
I have a copy of the original Super Mario Bros. for NES and wanted to play some hacks and randomizers based on it as well.
Level-Headed is a program that allows you to take your Super Mario Bros. rom and patch it with some randomizer options to create a custom hack for yourself. It is better than a lot of other randomizers because it even builds custom levels for you and integrates art, sounds, music and powerups that come from other hacks. It is unlikely that anyone will ever get the exact same result as you, even if you generate thousands of games.
This is just a full playthrough with the game's audio only and no commentary.
During this playthrough I made it to world 3-3.
In set 1, all of the generator options were set to random.
In this rom (0004), Mario ended up being the playable character. The powerup was a spark that gives Mario the ability to throw sparks that roll along the ground at a high speed.
