Super Mario Bros - Robot's Retro Rewind

Welcome to Robot's Retro Rewind, a series where I play a variety of retro games, which I qualify as anything before the sixth generation of consoles, which means anything from PS1, N64, NES, SNES, most Sega consoles, and so on all qualify. I thought it was an interesting idea since it's not very common to see people giving these older games they love they deserve, plus it'll be very nostalgic for some. I think a lot of these old games still hold up very well even today. :)
For the first episode, I'm playing the most retro game of them all, Super Mario Bros. The player takes on the role of the main protagonist of the series, Mario. The objective is to race through the Mushroom Kingdom, survive the main antagonist Bowser's forces, and save Princess Toadstool. The player moves from the left side of the screen to the right side in order to reach the flag pole at the end of each level. Mario's primary attack is jumping on top of enemies, though many enemies have differing responses to this. For example, a Goomba will flatten and be defeated, while a Koopa Troopa will temporarily retract into its shell, allowing Mario to use it as a projectile. The game consists of eight worlds with four sub-levels called "stages" in each world. The final stage of each world takes place in a castle where Bowser or one of his decoys are fought. It was originally released in 1985 for the NES and is highly regarded as one of the most influential video games of all time.
