Super Mario Bros. (Japanese ス ー パ ー マ リ オ ブ ラ ザ ー ズ su: pa: mario burazu: zu, Rus. Super Mario Bros.) is a platforming video game developed and released in 1985 by the Japanese company Nintendo for the Famicom platform. Listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the best-selling game in history. After the success of the game, its protagonist, Mario, became the symbol of Nintendo and one of the most famous playable characters in the world.

History - Mario (or Luigi) embarks on a journey through the Mushroom Kingdom to find Princess Peach, whom Bowser has imprisoned in his castle. During the journey, he meets enemies such as Goomba and Koopa Troopa, and after a fight with Bowser, he finds Toad in the first seven castles, who suggests that Peach is imprisoned in another castle. In the eighth castle (level 8-4), Mario (or Luigi) finds Bowser himself and fights with him. He then finds Princess Peach. At this stage, the plot of the game ends.
