The next place is Ghostly Galaxy, and Luigi is trapped in the haunted house. Mario receives a new power-up called the Boo Mushroom, which allows him to turn into Boo Mario and go through walls, as well as turn invisible for a short time. This galaxy is filled with Boos and Goombas wearing Pumpkin heads.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

The second galaxy in the Kitchen dome is Ghostly Galaxy, you need 20 Power Stars for this one, and this is the Ghost House course in this game, and in the first mission, Luigi is trapped in the haunted mansion. You start on a green Starshroom, and the next planet has a hidden Rainbow Star if you break a nearby rock, and you can use it to defeat any Pumpkinhead Goombas and Chomps, and even though Super Mario Wiki refers to them as Pumpkinhead Goombas, they are also known as Jack O'Goombas, you can Ground Pound them or spin to remove the Pumpkin head and they become normal Goombas. The spiders are called Spranglers, and you can jump or spin into them to defeat them.
Inside the house, there is a lever where you can turn on the light, and you can lure Boos into the light to defeat them. The next room is a large cube with Pumpkinhead Goombas, and there is a secret library where if you Ground Pound the broken roof, and you can get a lot of coins there.
After collecting all the Star Chips, a Launch Star takes us outside the mansion, and we find Luigi is inside. You have to drop down to get the key and use the Pull Star to get back, and inside the mansion, there is a new power-up called the Boo Mushroom, and you can only read the billboard as Boo Mario. With that power-up, you can pass through walls, and if a light shines, you lose the power-up. You cannot talk to Luigi as Boo Mario, so you have to use the light to turn back to normal, and Luigi gives us the Power Star, I do like the animation where Luigi appears along with Mario when collecting the star.
Luigi is at the Comet Observatory, and he will start finding Power Stars, and the next mission is A Very Spooky Sprint, and after the starting planet, there are some Pull Stars which lead to a Launch Star, and on the next planet is a large Boo with a visor known as the Spooky Speedster, although we don't learn that name until a very later galaxy. You have to make use of Pull Stars to get to the end, and there are obstacles like large pieces of meat and Floating Mines. When you beat the Spooky Speedster, you get the Power Star.
Then Mailtoad gives Mario a letter from Luigi, and he is at Good Egg Galaxy, this one is really easy, as he is on the roof of the house on the first planet.
Next is Beware of Bouldergeist, and we learn about the creature that captured Luigi. After using the Rainbow Star, which isn't a huge requirement, but it helps get past the Chomps, we find Bomb Boos, and this is the only time they appear in this game. Bomb Boos can be used to blow up Bowser Statues, you have to spin them around in order to use them, and I always forget about the ? Block outside the mansion when taking the Launch Star. The Sling Pods are back again, and Spranglers can be hanging from them. We need the Sling Pods to get to the Sling Star to the Launch Star, and the next planet has Blue Star Chips, which give us Pull Stars to get to the Launch Star. After getting through the weird planet, it is time to bounce on a ball to the final planet, and there is the Luma Shop which you can use before fighting Bouldergeist.
Bouldergeist is a tough boss, but he's not that difficult, he attacks by shooting rocks, the yellow rocks produce coins, the black rocks produce Bomb Boos, and you will need to hit him three times to defeat him, when he is hit twice, he reveals his true form, and you have to hit the red bubble, but this won't really defeat Bouldergeist, because you have to repeat it again, but this time, he has large rock hands. He has some new attacks where he can throw punches, and he can unleash stone spikes, in the previous phase, it was one row, but in the second phase, he unleashes two rows. You can destroy the hands with Bomb Boos, and after hitting Bouldergeist six times, he is defeated, but there is a Daredevil Comet where you have to fight Bouldergeist again, but this time with only one health.
Then for the secret Star, go into mission 2, and what you have to do is destroy a glowing rock, which has a Launch Star, and it will take you to the Matter Splatter Mansion, I am not a fan of this mission, and I know there is a later galaxy that reuses this mechanic. There are moving platforms which you have to keep up with, and you can use keys to open doors along the way, and there is a ? Coin which is how you can progress further. In the final area are a set of doors which require keys, and at the very top is the Power Star.
