A: You are probably referring to times performed in Grand Prix 150cc which are obviously faster. Check out links above to see WRs and rankings in GP, you'll also find many GP videos on my channel in the playlist "SMK Grand Prix 150cc (PAL)".
If you were indeed playing Time Trial, you may have been playing on NTSC version (see compilation link at the top). If not, then be sure to join our community and upload a video of your records.

Q: I can do some of those tracks under 30 seconds or under a couple seconds for the 1lap.
A: You may have used finish-line tricks/glitches, which are not allowed on the main rankings. But we do have side rankings for this category here : https://mariokartplayers.com/smk/glitchcoursep.php

Q: How on earth are you not loosing speed while going offroad?

Q: Are the port to Nintendo Switch or other recent consoles allowed to play on?
