Super Mario Land is a 1989 side scroller developed and published by Nintendo. This was the first Mario game released for Game Boy and has a similar game play to 1985 Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Land is set in Sarasaland, a new environment depicted in line art, and Mario pursues the debuting Princess Daisy. The game has two Gradius-style shooter levels.

Super Mario Land takes place in Sarasaland, where Mario must save Princess Daisy from the evil Tatanga.

Being the first Mario game on Game Boy, you expect nothing less than a near Super Mario Bros. clone. This short and quirky Mario game is a cult classic for the Game Boy and a must-play for any Nintendo or Mario fan.
