Super Mario Odyssey - Trek to the Darker Side (Part 17)
2This video continues a full, uncommentated playthrough of Super Mario Odyssey to Darker Side, for The Challenge Series on SDGShawn's Discord, run by SDGShawn and TrenteR_TR. This video covers more attempts at Darker Side, getting further in the more I try.
Carrying on from last video: The moving walls segment is daunting, I will admit, and one I'm not looking forwards to...until I remember the skip to get past all of it. Simply throw your cap near it, jump on the raised floor next to you, and shake your controller - Cappy will home in on the scarecrow, and take you with it.
And then there's Glydon. I know there's a way to get past this section all the way to the Bowser painting, and if I can manage that, that's Forks and Clouded section completely skipped. I cannot remember it, though, so down to Forks, which, to be fair, is a pretty simple section. It's the bit after Forks that's the problem, and it shows - spiky Goombas (what is their name?) landing on your platform is not ideal, with the best way to deal with them also being VERY hazardous to your continued health. The ACTUAL best way to deal with them while also staying healthy is to forget the fire ring launchers entirely, but good luck with that plan.
Just for fun at one point, I go back to the start of the Kingdom and see how far I can get across the gap between the start and end of the kingdom. Turns out, not very far at all. A few runs after that, I reach the end of the foggy area, to be greeted with everyone's favourite sharp-beaked bird...whom I immediately kill. I never claimed to be good with Pokio. That's where I choose to take a break, determined to see if I can beat this soon.
