Super Mario Sunshine - One Minute Game Review
One minute review of Super Mario Sunshine:
Mario is framed by someone mysterious and forced to clean Isle Delphino from the Ink that's ruining the island. Most of the gameplay revolves around FLUDD, the new water spraying platform mechanic, and so all the levels are themed around water, and even if they change a little each level the variety isn't as much as you would expect in a Mario game, same goes for the music. Mario's base move set is toned down in favor of FLUDD but the level design is almost always enjoyable in its own regards, excluding a few of the rare levels without FLUDD that can be quite frustrating. Contrary to Mario 64 you can't fully choose which level you want to tackle because to beat the game you need to face off against Shadow Mario in each world, which requires specific accomplishments to happen. Graphics are very charming for a game as old as this, but if you want to enjoy Sunshine remember it's a different experience from the usual 3D Mario titles.
