Graphics are fixed with a highly intrusive lua script I wrote for BizHawk: https://github.com/PJBoy/lua
Thinking of doing a commentary over this TAS at some point, because the tricks and glitches used are absurd, and the lua script is basically redrawing everything that I could be bothered to redraw (so not sprites that are normally off-screen for example).
All frames not contributing to the in-game timer are removed, so door transitions and pause screens mostly, also lag frames (so power bombs are looking quite elegant now). Some of the super jumps looks pretty spectacular with the door transitions removed :D
