I've been playing the PAL version of Super Metroid, which I've never tried before. it's slightly different, but the differences are quite noticeable in Maridia. the beginning of this video, where you ball up into the hidden spot to get a super missile, is really hard to do for some reason. I failed a ton of times before getting this run. sand is also a lot more difficult to get out of for whatever reason.
I think walljumping is weird too, but I might just be blaming the game for this instead of my own lack of skill.
