Super Metroid Project Base v0.7 Speed (VAR) Run (0:16)
0Lady's and Gentlemen, this is it! After working really hard to re-route the run and add in newly discovered tricks and strats, (as well as working on overall movement) we've finally reached (0:16) for in-game time. This was completely unexpected however.. I was streaming for a 17 initially, and wham!... I was astonished haha.. either way here's some changes from the last route..
1. The Bomb Torizo skip (you have a 3 frame window to get it)
2. After timing it out, the back route past Kraid to get to the Speed Booster first is about 45-50 seconds faster in the long run,
3. Backflip is applied in some places.
4. Further Developed Shinespark strats
5. X-Factor attacks during Phantoon = 8 Super Missile shots without him freaking out.
6. Safer Draygon 1-cycle.
7. The back route out of Maridia saves around 50 seconds to a minute.
Enjoy! :) This is a pretty dang good time, not sure if I can get it much faster, if I can, it's pretty much gonna be based on overall movement.
