One wants to shift the screen somewhat to the right so that some of the refill bugs don't reach the end of the screen on the right side yet so that when the powerbomb hits the respawn place of the refill bugs and kills them, their drops spawn on the right side away from Samus, so that one doesn't get too many drops, since they don't drop powerbombs that frequently but drop mostly health instead, but one needs at least 1 powerbomb drop to be able to CF, requiring that one isn't in health bomb range. But getting too many health drops will make the CF impossible. For it to work, it is crucial that at least 1 refill bug's drop appears to the right and isn't collected so that the remaining refill bugs respawn to where Samus is and stay invisible and don't yet fly up to Samus which they only do once all of the bugs exited the screen and all their drops are gone. Otherwise, if the 5 refill bugs are all together, they will fly up and die to the Crystal Flash's projectile hitbox which stays there permanently during R-Mode instead of only being temporarily active, and kills them instead of Samus getting repeatedly hit by them. If one quickly lays the powerbomb in the right corner, then some refill bugs will die further right before respawning, but if one lays the powerbomb too late, then they may all respawn already. This setup allows to do 14%X-Ray-PB as RTA low% category (with use of L+R). However, the odds of getting health drops in this test were lowered by not having full Missiles or Super Missiles, so in a situation with 10 Missiles cap and 10 Super Missiles cap, this setup wouldn't work as well anymore.
