Go past 2 Koopas then 2 triangles and you’ll find sets of ? Blocks before more of these enemies. Under 7 ? Blocks with 3 triangles, hit one garbage block and a vine will appear that will take you to the sky for more coins. If you choose to venture on the surface, go down the pipe to the underground for coins and return to the surface to see Piranha Plants lurking. You’ll hit one garbage block for multiple coins and encounter some Paratroopas before using the spring to cross a tall wall to make it to the flagpole.
