Super Pixel Racers is a top down arcade racer, in a pixel style. You race through short courses gain Nitro Charge when sliding through the curves and use it to boost your speed. The gameplay is simple and the courses i played where fairly easy, but this was just rank C (lowest rank and so the lowest difficulty). Sometimes you get little speechbubbles over the cars, maybe to show that you're doing good or the other driver curse you for bumping into their cars, this gives the game a little bit of charm.

So far i just played the Career mode C, but here you can already see the different type of races you do and that you can buy upgrades in your garage or even new cars. Since i didn't manage some courses on the first try (it was time trial and demolition) i did restart the courses. There i saw that you keep the price money for doing the 2nd or 3rd place. So if the game gets to difficult, you could redo finished races, to buy more upgrades and such get a better chance of winning the next race.
