Super Punch-Out!! Playthrough Part 1
36Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about my other Playthroughs. This game is so short that I wanted to quickly do a run of it, though.
As I'm playing this on the Wii U, I'm only using the restore points so I can start matches from the beginning without having to restart the whole game every single time. No restore points will be used during any of the actual fights.
This Playthrough is gonna be kind of different from my other Punch-Out!! Playthroughs. However, similar to my Playthrough of the Wii game, I'm going to show the optimal way to take down every single boxer in the game, a "perfect run", if you will. Every boxer in the game has a combination of attacks that you can perform on them to make them dizzy. Once you do this you need to land a well-timed Knockout Punch on them to send them to the mat immediately.
This video shows the Minor Circuit, which consists of Gabby Jay, Bear Hugger, Piston Hurricane, and Bald Bull.
You don't NEED to use the pause screen glitch for Gabby Jay, but I just did that for a faster time. He's a complete joke who makes Glass Joe look like Rocky Balboa.
Bear Hugger, surprisingly, is one of the hardest fights to "perfect". You need to time your body blows FRAME-PERFECT so you hit him in the stomach just as he does his taunting. Too early or too late, and he won't get dizzy after the third body blow.
Piston Hurricane's much easier to make dizzy than Bear. Not much to say about him, really.
Bald Bull, to my knowledge, can't get KO'd by normal means. You have to TKO him to move on. His dizzy combination might take some getting used to, but the last time you have to knock him down is critical. He'll perform his infamous Bull Charge. Depending on how many times he steps back before charging towards you, that determines how many steps it'll take for him to reach you. A hook to the stomach will knock this bull out of the china shop.
