The next character I use for Classic Mode is Zelda, and starting from this game, she is now a separate character from Sheik, and she did get some improvements between Brawl and this game, but she does remain a low-tier character in this game. This is the last Smash Bros. game where both Zelda and Link use their appearance from the same game from the series, in this case, Twilight Princess, because in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Zelda uses her appearance in A Link Between Worlds, while Link uses his appearance from Breath of the Wild.
Going over Classic Mode, in Rounds 1 to 3, you go up against characters that use their default costumes, in Rounds 4 and 5, you fight against characters that use their alternate costumes, in Round 6, you fight against the Fighting Mii Team, and in the final round, you fight against Master Hand, or on a higher Intensity, you fight Crazy Hand as well, and Master Core at an even higher Intensity.
Then to go over Zelda's custom moves, as this is the only game in the series to have custom moves, her neutral special of Nayru's Love can be good for reflecting projectiles, this was one advantage Zelda had in previous Smash Bros. games, even if Sheik was more preferred. Her first custom variant is Nayru's Rejection, which deals less damage and knockback, but it adds a flip effect much like Mario's Cape, and the other variant is Nayru's Passion, which draws in opponents before creating an explosion around Zelda, and it does not reflect projectiles. Her side special of Din's Fire is a good projectile move, and for the custom variants of that move, the first one is Din's Flare, which is a faster variant, but it cannot be aimed up or down, it deals the same damage at all distances, and the other variant is Din's Blaze, where the fireball has a larger explosion, but it travels more slowly, and it tends to be more preferred over Din's Fire for the delayed explosion. Her up special of Farore's Wind is a good recovery move for Zelda, and it did get some improvements in this game compared to Brawl, and the first custom move for that move is Farore's Squall, which is a slower teleport which has more damage, but does not deal damage, but it does push opponents away, and the second variant is Farore's Windfall, where Zelda can only teleport upward, and it has a meteor effect on any opponents hit when she reappears, and it is much weaker than Farore's Wind. Zelda's new down special is Phantom Slash, which can be charged and it slashes foes in front of it, and for that move's custom variants, the first one is Phantom Breaker, which travels a set distance and deals more damage against enemy shields, and the second variant is Phantom Strike, where the Phantom deals more damage, but it has a shorter range.
Zelda's reveal on the Super Smash Bros. website tied in with the release of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, but she would not use his appearance in said game until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and while she doesn't use Triforce of Wisdom for her Final Smash, she still has the Light Arrow in this game, which did get nerfed in this game where it is not a one-hit KO like in Brawl, but it can still KO at a low percentage, but at least it is easy to dodge unlike Triforce of Wisdom, which is an instant KO at 100% and is very difficult to dodge.
