Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - Nov 29 14 B
Match #6
Ness
Port Town Aero Dive
See? I make another bone-headed recovery. Ness is the closest thing I have to a main, as he was whom I mained in the original Super Smash Bros. and through much of Melee. Then, I got bored and decided to just play the whole roster, and that's what I've done since. I used to be significantly better as Ness than anyone else, and in a way, I still am, but I dont get huge win rates with him alone (and in fact, I have yet to win as Ness in the Wii U Smash Bros., though I have won some in 3DS). In hindsight, I shouldn't be relying on PK Thunder 2 as an attack so much. Or at all. I see other people spam PK Thunder 2, and I have no idea how they do it. I would perform well as Ness through PK Fire, sometimes PSI Magnet, his smash attacks, his dash and aerial moves, and his throws. I shouldn't be something I'm not.
Match #7
Villager
Mario Circuit (Brawl)
Kind of confusing that there are two stages called Mario Circuit in this game. No less confusing than two Yoshi's Islands in Brawl though. Geez, Ganondorf was really going to town on Pac-Man and Mega Man, wasn't he? That was brutal, like the King of Darkness himself.
Match #8
Samus
Kongo Jungle
This was when I felt like I should just get out of this room, looking at how the Sudden Death wound up. I immediately suspected a lag switch, since this match wasn't that laggy until the final few moments, but I really hope I'm wrong.
Match #9
Mr. Game & Watch
Duck Hunt
Also rather confusing, Duck Hunt is the name of the character comprising of the dog and duck from the game of the same name in American Smash Bros. Wii U's, and it's also the name of the stage from that same game. This stage is an 8-bit looking one, designed to resemble the Duck Hunt game. The main platform is the ground where it meets the grass, and you can fall off the stage through the pillarboxes on the left and right. The bush on the right and the bunches of leaves on the tree on the left are platforms, as well as the dog when he emerges from the grass to show the ducks shot down. You can attack the ducks in the sky to defeat them, but there's no point in doing so. This Mega Man knew what he was doing, or at least brave--I usually don't have the guts to attempt a meteor smash, because when most of them fail, I get KOed instead. The Hard Knuckle is a relatively safe one though. By the way when I mained Ness in Melee, Mr. Game & Watch was one of my sub-mains, the others being Ice Climbers, Dr. Mario, and Pichu.
Match #10
Falco
Gamer
You can see people getting accustomed to this stage as they play. Towards the beginning, people seem to always get caught in 5-Volt's stare, but they wise up later on. I also wanted to show a match on Gamer with its default music, or rather, lack thereof. Something I find interesting in its origins is the X-Bomb, that item that releases either an X-shaped or a plus-shaped explosion. Sakurai insists it's from Kid Icarus: Uprising, but the item there didn't behave like the X-Bomb in this game. Rather, there was an item from Meteos called the X-Bomb that did exactly what this one does, and looks the same too. I wonder if there's some sort of contract-based or personal reason for specifying, in one of his Miiverse posts, specifying that this is not from Meteos. Also, there's that weird lag that ruined the other Falco's recovery.
