Steam review of vert Super XYX from Team Grybanser Fox. This one is inspired very specifically by the Toaplan titles of old. A bold claim, and the question is: Can it live up to such lofty inspirations?

**Important note**

I mentioned in the review that, following an update, I had lost all my progress (this is why the footage almost only features the starter two ships). I assumed this problem had occurred during the update and would be a one time only problem, however, since then the game has been continually erasing all my progress – both unlocked ships and modes as well as scores. The devs have been trying to patch the game and offer solutions but as of 19 Aug 2020, it is still a problem.

I want to bring this up here because in the review I specifically say that if more Steam games were as easy to configure as this, I’d be a bigger fan of the platform. Ironically, the opposite is true, and this is a perfect example of why it is I prefer games on Switch than Steam.

Hopefully it will get fixed properly and, honestly, the game’s still worth it even with just the first two ships, but it is something important that’s not covered in the review.
