Bacterial infections can present similarly to viral infections, but they can not be treated the same. Decades of people overusing antibiotics as well as the use of anitbiotics in livestock has created a dangerous playground for Superbugs to run wild in.
The possibility of more aggressive strains of bacteria developing in our modern world that we will find it harder to fight without doing more damage to ourselves, is very likely.
