103Our modern world is connected thru a vast array of computers. Cyber attacks are a new frontier and denial of service is one of the ways in which we can be hit. Many systems in our society rely heavily on computers and the proper functioning software in them.
When a cyber attack occurs it can often disrupt that balance. Denial of service can cause problems across a wide array of systems. Knowing that your everyday transactions or services can be shutdown without warning can and could leave you and millions of other people scrambling to recover from that type of attack is something to keep in mind.
Treat this type of event just like a natural disaster. Have some cash on hand, make sure you have adequate supply of prescription meds, food and water are obviously on that list. Keeping hard copies of vital information, such as insurance policies, bank statements, vital records et. You won't know if it's just a glitch or the entire system is collapsed.
