Video showing the new update works....Or at least on a DS Lite. I don't own a DSi, but this video still should prove that you won't have to worry about bricking the Supercard....Though you couldn't even if you tried as the USB flasher wouldn't care if the cart was bootable or not... :D

Fraps was used to record the video output of my webcam via Media Player Classic...So please excuse the little mouse cursor present in the video! :D
