A new nuclear submarine, Belgorod, was recently launched by Russia and delivered to the Russian Navy in the Severodvinsk port.
The multi-megaton warhead that the Belgorod submarine is capable of delivering with its torpedo weaponry can produce radioactive waves that will render large stretches of the target's shoreline uninhabitable for decades.
