8Surprisingly Fun (and Useless?) Shield Build in Dauntless | Earth Perk Experiment

I made a quick Dauntless video showcasing a fun, yet somewhat pointless build that generates and pops shields for damage using the "Earth" perk. This isn’t my final attempt at a shield build, but it's one of the easiest to put together, as the parts come from easier Behemoths. In a future video, I’ll add Aegis to the mix for faster shield generation.
Don't get me wrong, this build is far from optimal, but it’s surprisingly fun when paired with the Silver Sword. The sword’s talents that add shields complement the build, and while it’s not really viable outside of Escalations—where your damage scales more easily—the shields themselves help boost DPS. I even noticed some decent numbers during Bastion Lantern activation, which was a pleasant surprise.
Could this be a "spin-to-win" option? Maybe, but don’t be fooled—those shields won’t keep you safe for long, haha.
Next, I’m thinking of trying this with an axe to see if I can get a big bonus on shield throw damage using Earth, and maybe add Galvanized for even more power in a future video. Thanks for watching—don’t forget to like and subscribe!
