Aegis Aurora is very powerful and unique, but in anticipation of not being able to use it or being nerfed in the future, we tested how well it would defend itself if Aegis were not used.

Character requirements are as follows:
Block 77%/75%.
No Regen (disabled by Vaal Pact)
Divine Shield
50 ES Block Recovery on Spell (Safeguard)
50 Life Block Recovery (One with the Shield)
Recouped as Life 32%

My feeling was that Divine Shield and Safeguard would work quite well defensively.
Also, perhaps, Recouped as Life is triggered even if the damage is nullified by Block.
