In this Let's Play Starbound Frackin' Universe mod series, we play one of the best Starbound mods out there, which adds a vast amount of content focused around science-based crafting paths. In episode 11 of Let's Play Starbound Frackin' Universe mod, we have a goal: Find out how to survive deadly radiation, which is one step up from the regular radiation that our current EPP protects us against.

We try two parallel methods to survive deadly radiation on irradiated planets. First we craft a more powerful augment, a radiation shield level 2, which is helped by crafting an ore detector.

Second, we finally complete the Mutavisk quest that starts us going with the useful mutavisk plant. Rather than going to collect Mutavisk seeds on another planet, we attempt to genetically engineer them instead, by taking genes we have researched from other seeds and crafting new seeds. The end goal is to make mutavisk armour that protects us from radiation.

To test out our methods, we visit an irradiated planet to see how things hold up, and take the chance to mine some irradium that leads us to craft a full set of irradium armour, our first Frackin' Universe armour!

Also in episode 11 of Let's Play Starbound Frackin' Universe mod: Eden planets, the fluffalo grow up, visiting a penumbral planet for ore and making mercury.
