Surviving the Aftermath is a post-apocalyptic colony survival building simulator published by Paradox Interactive, a studio we have had one or two run-ins with previously. Surviving the Aftermath is an interesting take on the colony building formula, with a much larger sense of scale than other games within the genre, coupled with the familiar paradox event system and evolving gameplay element.

What really sold me on this one was the overworld style exploration system, giving a duality to the gameplay that is more akin to a survival game than a city builder.

I'll be keeping a very close eye on this one, especially thanks to the implied expandability with the "MODS" button on the main menu. I already have some ideas of my own being formulated and I can't wait to see everyone's favourite post-apocalyptic scenarios bought to life in Surviving the Aftermath.
