Sustain Devlog #2 - Title Screens and Unique Ships
Hello! Here's another development log video for Sustain, a Geometry Wars-like arena shooter that I'm making in the Blender Game Engine.
I've gotten a lot done in the twenty day span (?) between the previous video and this one. In this video, I show a new GUI, a title screen / main menu, and a new ship. I don't show random level generation or leveling up. That'll show up in another video later on.
Hopefully I'll be able to continue development of my projects at a goodly pace - it's looking like I might nab a job, which would hamper my development capabilities, hah.
P.S. If you're disappointed of which games get my priority and attention, I'm sorry about that. I work on what I think I can finish / have ideas for at the time. I know that Valchion looks cool, but I don't want to just throw away production by just using time without having any ideas for maps, enemies, plot points, or gameplay.
Valchion is a very idea-focused game, while my (usually, secondary) project, which is this for now, tends to be more mechanic based - just implementing ships, modes, and features gets the game finished. Please feel free to tell me off, I suppose, but please keep in mind that I'd like to do this for a living, which is why I jump around on different projects as I try to find a game that isn't too difficult or long to finish.
Anyway, thanks a ton for watching!
