Sweet Tooth and Locke & Key Comic Books Review - Netflix Comics.

This video gets to be a double-feature as I talk about Jeff Lemire's Sweet Tooth: The Return and Joe Hill's Locke and Key: In Pale Battalions Go.

And I wanted to talk about both of these mini-series together, because they just fit so well in contrast. Both the Sweet Tooth and Locke and Key series got Netflix shows, which obviously created a surge in popularity for them, and I think it's really interesting to see what kind of comics we got based on that.

Unfortunately, I have to say that Jeff Lemire just did a quick cash grab with his new mini-series, as it was an absolute disappointment in every aspect. the premise of the story was downright stupid, the world-building just didn't exist, and the characters were just boring and one-note.

In complete contrast, Joe Hill's mini-series was an absolute joy, as it built upon the Locke and Key universe and actually moved further than that, acting as a prequel to a very cool crossover with the Sandman universe.
I really appreciate Joe Hill's effort here and the love that he shows towards his series and especially towards the future of his series.

As always, thank you for checking out my video!
