In moonlight's eerie, pale EMBRACE. Where tombstones mark the resting place. Beneath the earth, in shadows deep. The restless souls their SLUMBER keep.
When midnight's chime begins to toll. From graves, the UNDEAD start to stroll. Their bony fingers claw the ground. In search of lost souls they are BOUND.
With hollow eyes and tattered shrouds. They rise from GRAVES in ghostly crowds. A spectral dance in the pale night. A haunting, eerie, ghostly SIGHT.
No heartbeat in their chests doth BEAT. Yet in the night, they find their feet. To wander in the moon's dark gleam. A nightmare born from HAUNTED dream.
They yearn for warmth, for life, for breath. To quench the hunger, stave off DEATH. Beware the undead's mournful cries. As 'cross the graveyard moonlight FLIES.
To solve this riddle, you must glean. What wakes the dead on this Festival's EVE? A word that holds the power to save. And keep them in their ghostly GRAVE.
Old Soul:
Beneath the shroud of the dark, autumn sky. Where lanterns FLICKER, their flames up high. In graves of old, where silence has its hold. The restless dead stir, their tales UNTOLD.
As shadows lengthen and the moon takes flight. In the dead of night, they AWAKEN to the sight. Of a queen in ebony, her presence keen. The Night's QUEEN, a spectral, haunting scene.
With hollow eyes and skeletal might. They heed her call, rising in the pale MOONLIGHT. Bones clatter and whispers fill the air. As they emerge from graves with a solemn FLAIR.
Their steps echo softly through the CHILL. A spectral army, obedient to her will. In search of souls, they roam this earthly plane. To claim what's due on the FESTIVAL's eerie reign.
But beware, mortal, heed this CRYPTIC verse. For the key to their slumber, you must traverse. To quell the queen and her undead HORDE. A word or charm, in whispers, be implored.
What word unlocks the night's dark EMBRACE. And sends the undead back to their resting place? In letters hidden, a mystery for thee. To banish the haunting and set SPIRITS free.
