Switch 2 launch games will be strong BUT the switch has a lot of first party nintendo games support. The Wii U had many Games that could be ported but the current nintendo switch? Firstly the switch successor will likely be backwards compatible but also switch 2 can not be carried by a former unsuccessful console this time.

This may not be the nintendo switch 2 news everyone was hoping for and this is not even a bad thing but more an interesting observation.

I have not doubt in my mind in even the slightest that nintendo switch 2 games will be amazing and the delay of the console means nintendo has had a lot of extra development time to have an amazing line up. However, the nintendo switch latest news will not be a bunch of switch games filling up slow periods the way we have experienced before.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was a Wii U port and Zelda BOTW was originally only a Wii U Game that got ported last minute (which is why it also didn't run well as it was not optimised for switch hardware).
