So I often have to question myself as to whether or not I am becoming that guy. You know the one. That guy has a lot of cute anime girl figures and whatnot, and he has Hatsune Miku stickers on his laptop. But I swear to you that two things are true: 1) I started off trying to parody that guy 2) As my that guy-ish tendencies have become more pronounced I have become increasingly self-critical, and 3) It's not a sexual thing. I know that in a world of eye-rolling drippy-tongued anime girls, it's hard to imagine a guy having anime girl figures for aesthetic purposes without it being some sort of sexual proclivity, but I assure you that it is not. I don't fantasize about Miku. Quite frankly it terrifies me that she's over 7 feet tall and 87% legs. Those are not normal proportions, and whenever I am forced to consider what a real life anime girl would look like, I scream in horror. So yeah. I'm not that guy. I have a wife, not a waifu. I kid you not, my actual pillow case is grey and has no anime girl content whatsoever. Do I find anime girls interesting from an aesthetic standpoint? Yes. Would I want to see one in real life? God no. Also, don't try to pick up the anime girl on my speaker. She's double-stick taped down so you don't see her pantsu, you perv.
