Switching From Mobil 1 to AMSOIL | Jeep Wrangler Oil Change
After running Mobil1 10W-30 in my 1998 Jeep Wrangler with the Inline 4 motor for over 10,000 miles, I decided to do an oil change and switch over to AMSOIL. Before we change the oil, we take a look at the dipstick to see how the oil looks. We then start the engine and record a quick audio sample of the engine running. After getting the audio, we shut the engine off and begin on the oil change. The wrench is a 5/8 for the oil pan plug. Be sure to rub some new oil on the seal and threads of the new oil filter. I went with a Mopar oil filter, MO-090. Since my engine is the 2.5l inline 4, you will use 4 quarts of oil. The 4.0 straight 6, uses 6 quarts. After the oil pan plug is reinstalled and the oil has been added to the engine, I start her up, let her run, and record an after oil change audio sample. To finish the video, I go for a drive and give her a good pull.
