SWORD ART ONLINE: FATAL BULLET Testing Astro C40 TR Controller vs. Mighty Chariot 2
Yuuki Rabbit takes on Mighty Chariot 2 with her Kagemitsu G9 Type Z while testing out recent ebay purchase Astro C40 TR Controller.y
was looking to pick up the astro c40 tr controller. went to the astro website where they sell direct but they wer sold out. wrote astro an email asking when they were expecting to be back in stock and shipping and they replied but did not answer my question and only advised to keep checking back to their site. hrumph.
i
so i started looking around, amazon, best buy, ebay, etc ... lots of sellers but even for used ones the price was more than msrp. finally found on ebay a guy in coppenhagen selling for 100. but the description was everything on controller works fine except the analog thumbsticks. i “watched” the auction and later the seller sent me an offer reducing the buy it now price to 90. so i accepted.
the seller shipped immediately but the package seemed to sit in customs in chicago forever. while in customs i ordered a couple of replacement thumbsticks from evil controllers. the replacement thumbsticks arrived a couple of weeks ahead of the controller .
when the controller finally arrived i plugged it in and tested. after returning the controller to factory settings and recalibrating the controller i found that sure enough everything on the controller worked perfectly except for the left thumbstick. replaced the left thumbstick with the evil replacement and walla! controller works perfectly. now to test under battle.
while watching the video you might see sometimes where striking Mighty Chariot with normal weapons strike. this is unintentional. the intended strike was a weapons art attack, but the newness of the controller which is a little larger than a dualshock 4 was causing me to not press right bumper R1 properly when selecting weapons arts. so its operator error and not the controller. just need a little more time in game with it to get used to the slightly larger form factor.
overall love the Astro C40 TR controller, it did not come with original packaging but did come with all the accessories, extra thumbsticks, usb dongle, usb cord, star driver tool to remove faceplate, case, ... and the condition of the controller is excellent with hardly any signs of wear. so for $90 USD plus $20 USD shipping plus $19 USD replacement thumbstick for a $199 USD MSRP controller im very happy with the outcome and results =:3
