This video is a commented compilation of gameplay footage from the last beta testing phase of the game. I use annotations to explain what's what and what's happening on the screen, so make sure to leave them on, since this video is worthless without them. Everything was recorded on maximum possible graphics settings (except anti-aliasing, which isn't available in beta) using GTX570. I fast-forwared a LOT to make it more interesting to watch, and hopefully you'll get the better idea about the actual gameplay of this game than you'd get from watching some first-impressions review such as ones on mmohut.

Couple of times the screen turns black for a few seconds, sorry about that, it seems to be an issue with certain version of fraps video codec and sony vegas, blame beepa or sony, it's your choice :)

Final judgement? This game still has a couple of issues to work out, such as needles docking stations, instance teleportation, horribly long loading screens, space combat is just a glorified duck shooter,... but all in all, leveling up to 23 was a much more entertaining than it was in WoW, and I could say the same about instances as well. So without taking endgame into consideration, it's in my opinion a great game that is supperior to WoW.

WoW vs. SWTOR vs. .....GW2 !?

Personally, I won't buy/play it though, I'll be waiting for GW2 :) Why? Well becasue SWTOR is just enhanced WoW, and even though it's different and better in many aspects, core gameplay is still the same, and it's definitely targeted at WoW players. I personally got sick and tired of WoW after so much playtime, and I'm looking at GW2 as something truly new and truly different and refreshing. Also these 3 short videos totally hooked me up:
