In this opening video, a flashback, Dana is to get off the tram and go to the Music Square
to play the Vaghen Hymn. In order for the player to get some achievements
Dana must take a detour down the street to the right to see some things and interract
with a shop owner to give the player some background of the story. After the detour
Dana makes it to the Music Square and plays the Vaghen Hymn on the mechanical piano.
The next video comes back to the present finding Kate is in a cell in a salt mine.

Disclaimer: I am NOT an greatly experienced gamer but have followed the Syberia series
from the beginning. I have been totally claimed by this 4th Syberia game, The World Before,
and have played it enough to attempt this Walkthrough series, which I hope is useful
to promote this experience to as many as possible. Perhaps, they will go back and
play the first 3 installments, as well, so as the get the references to these
past experiences to which the game, from time to time, refers. Fortunately, there
are good walkthrough for each these earlier games: Syberia, Syberia 2 and Syberia 3.
These videos cover the entire story of Syberia: The World Before,
and run from about 10 minutes to 55 minutes.
The game can be played faster but I tried to include everything and give the viewer time
to read everything. I also took extra time to get achievements so you could get them as well.
The viewer can always fast forward to any area of interest to save time.
Each video covers a segment of interest and will allow the player to review
just that segment without having to play through the whole game.
For all the videos, the player is reminded to look at absolutely everything,
not to just finish the game, but to get the most from the experience
and win the possible achievements available. Playing through the game as is done
through all 27 videos will gain the player 29 of 30 possible achievements,
including the Loyalty achievement. In order to get the Betrayal achievement
the game must be played continuously from Video 9 through Video 23.
From time to time, especially early in the game, the player will be given tips
on how to use the games features, like how to move faster, etc.
Whe the diary symbol is present it can be used to display goals, history,
documents and inventory.
The player an click on the Question Mark [?] to get help when they're stuck.

The player can make their own set of .bin's by stopping at the appropriate point
and copying and renaming the save.bin to refer to that point.
The bin's exist in for example, C:\users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\SyberiaTWB
I suggest making a sub-folde to put your collection of Start Positions
Or you could use the Microid supplied Start Segments to get to the
nearest point of your interest. The Start Segments are generically labeled so
It's a bit of trial and error to get where you want to be.
To use the Start Positions or Segments, just create a copy of them,
delete the current save.bin and rename the copy to save.bin
Then start the game, pick your start slot and continue.
