And here we go: working about a mod for the PlayStation Trilogy of Syphon Filter. All the three games will have the same treatment: removed Level Of Detail (LOD), real weapon names and actual weapon model drop. Currently, one issue (that is mostly impossible to fix) is that the Nightvision Rifle crash the game when aiming in manual mode. This is caused by models for whatever reason. LODs were removed, since when the game is emulated is very noticeable the model's degradation while far. This mod will load all models at any distance with max detail! A last note: real weapon names can't be applicated to all instances, since most are hardcoded in the .ELF, meaning that is possible to replace text with the same lenght and stop. Yes, in the video I've mispelt all the "Ithaca 37" instances with "Itacha"... An another issue with the NIghtvision Rifle is that (at least in Italian) devs forgot to give all the necessary text for it, resulting broken text. Attempting to fix that, I've saw that will overwrite also the correct appearances, of course. Since that PS1 titles use a "max ammo" thing instead of "capacity" (in reality changed that already in SF3, then mainta Lastly, the "actual weapon model drop" is the most interesting change. Is possible to replace the classic "icon overlay" from dead bodies with actual weapons. More realistic and isn't so even in later titles, having backpacks.
