Is it too late to go back to Unity, Nightdive?

The Unity alpha released in 2016 before Nightdive Studios changed to Unreal Engine 4, claiming that Unity wasn't able to handle what they wanted to do. So it seems a little odd to have the UE4 alpha in our hands this week and it's running worse, looks (imo) worse, as well as missing features, animations, and features that the version 3 years ago had.
