System Shock is a game that's meant a great deal to me personally since I played it first in 2013/14ish. So when I played this remake it was very special to me to finally see it completed.
I was one of the original backers in 2016 when System Shock's remake was announced, and it was this box that I had pledged my amount to. Ever since then, this was the most I've EVER anticipated a game in my life. And in 2023 we finally got the remake, and it somehow, even with all that hype and anticipation, STILL blew my mind and became my personal GOTY.
I still was hoping that this box would come in soon. And kept waiting and waiting... and sometime last week when I came home, I saw a package at my door. Wondering what it was, then the very second I saw the Shodan face, I audibly yelled and was staring in awe at how insanely cool this box was. Just like the game itself, this box was a long wait but DAMN it was a wait well worth it. And just like System Shock 2's original US box, this is by far one of the coolest big boxes I have in my entire collection. It tried to do the same thing where there's like a layering effect when holding the box in different angles.
ANYWAYS.
Yeah, this box is sick as hell. Probably won't be many on the aftermarket, as there were only 3500 of these made. The hardcover art book was seperate, but thankfully it's being produced by Dark Horse and can be purchased by anyone on Amazon.
