OSU!とは
このゲームのメインとなるモードで、カーソルを動かしサークル、スライダー、スピナーの3つをタイミングよく叩くモードです。
叩くタイミングの正確さによって300、100、50、missと4つの判定が出ます。
またosu!taiko、osu!catchやosu!maniaとは別々にスコア管理がされます。

プレイ方法
メインメニューのSOLOを選択すればプレイできます。
ですが、ビートマップの中にはosu!taiko、osu!catchまたはosu!mania専用のものがあり、そのビートマップをプレイするときはモードが強制的に変更されます。

ルール
画面に次々と現れるオブジェクトを音楽に合わせタイミングよく叩くというシンプルなルールです。
missをせずに連続で叩いていけばコンボが繋がり、コンボが繋がると入ってくるスコアにコンボ数による補正が入ります。
コンボが続けば続くほど補正値が大きくなり、より多くのスコアを得ることが可能です。
またコンボ数に対しての補正は各ビートマップ毎に違い、基本的には難易度が高いビートマップほど、この補正値が大きくなります。

操作方法
マウスでカーソルを動かし、マウスの左右クリックとキーボードの（デフォルト設定では）XとZキーで的を叩きます。
またマウス以外にもペンタブレットなどを使ってプレイすることも可能です。
