Hit Confirming is not as necessary in Tekken like it is in a game like Street Fighter. Nevertheless, it can still be helpful to have in your toolkit as it gets you to think critically about risk-reward. Additionally, the mental stimulation of visually recognizing the correct scenario and then reacting accordingly is extremely satisfying and gives T7 another layer of depth and fun.

In the context of Tekken, the benefits of hit-confirming clashes with the benefits of the delayable strings meta. Sometimes players will purposely finish/stop strings at odd times to catch an opponent off guard. Therefore, a playstyle that revolves around 100% hit confirming may lose out on certain rewards you get from playing a more delayable string mental frame playstyle. Have a balance of both ^_^.

*There are also times when you can use "Space" or "Scrambles" to successfully let a string rip without reactionally confirming. In these cases "Situational Awareness" could be thought of as a practical variant of Hit-Confirming (Examples include: Using Julia's War Drum at the correct range, or interupting an opponent's strings with Dragunov 121, Julia's 111, or Law's B+122).
