Think of Xiaoyu as that crazy Ex-Girlfriend that always tries to get back together with you. She can do splits and backflips and it's tempting to want to get close to her, but resist that urge--that's exactly what she wants you to do. The rule of thumb when playing against Xiaoyu is that it's not worth it to challenge her when she's backturned (RDS) or in Art of Phoenix stance (AOP). You can negate 90% of Xiaoyu's stance mindgames by just backdashing and looking for punish opportunities. If you feel like you can't run away, just look out for slow low sweeps or be ready to break BT grabs, but never ever duck randomly. Once you establish that you aren't going to play to her shenanigans, you'll force the Xiaoyu player to either take bigger risks or start playing honest Tekken.
