I decided in a recording session that I would take on the legendary Level 99 Red Chocobo, and after 2 hours of trying to get the thing to spawn...I almost got killed.

My equipment for my party-
Basch/ Lvl 62- Excalibur, Maximilian Armor, Magepower Shishak, Ribbon
Ashe/ Lvl 63- Staff of the Magi, Black Robes, Golden Skullcap, Turtleshell Choker
Penelo/ Lvl 99- Mithuna and Silent Shot, Black Robes, Golden Skullcap, Turtleshell Choker
Reddas/ Lvl 83- Just used him for the initial Bacchus's Wine, then left him be
