16It's 2023 and we're trying a new* mod for more characters! The Beyond mod adds characters, secrets, secret characters?, many new items, trinkets, mechanics, and more! Today we play The RESEARCH PROJECT challenge, get passive active items often, and try to avoid deciphering the secret code.

Mod Description:
Beyond is a mod for The Binding of Isaac: Repentance that brings more than 60 items, 35 trinkets and 6 characters to the fray. The current version, 1.5, also known as the mysterious rooms update has been released! Bug fixes and more content are still on the way. Most of the mod content is locked away behind 81 achievements!

Achievements
Since version 1.5.0, most of Beyond's content is locked behind achievements. Some commands may be used to get hints towards achievements or to disable them altogether. Type "byd_commands" in the command line to get a list of the available commands.
Requirements and compatibility
This mod requires the use of MiniMAPI to work properly. Please install it if you intend to fully enjoy the changes!
For tracking out your completion marks you may want to use Encyclopedia as well!

If you're using another mod and are experiencing compatibility issues, feel free to tell us too! We might become compatible.
Known issues and bugs
Important note on multiplayer: after having launched the .exe, if your first game is a new run, multiplayer may be unavailable. Restart your run if this happens.
In multiplayer, the miniatures for the new consumables are too big (minor)
Soul of Isaac/Glitched Crown effects are lost upon using an Air Stone (unsolvable)
Bygone Zapper isn't functional on some room types yet (defaults to normal rooms behaviors)
Upon using Botte Secrète the VarData is lost (It's not recommended to swap Jar of Wisps, DInf and some more items with an innate mechanics) (unsolvable)
Balls of Steel as a Horse Pill doesn't work well while at max health on Tainted Cross (unsolvable for now)
There is no item pool for items spawned in Rotten Rooms, some items may appear multiple times as a result (could be solved with custom item pools but I'd rather have a real item pool support instead)
After having generating too much red doors, the game won't allow for more to be generated, this is likely to happen with Deadalus (unsolvable for now)
Using Audience/Soul of Sin: exit and continue in those rooms is not supported (similar to special rooms from other mods, no workaround yet)
Costumes for Cross/The Husk/The Little are missing in some cases (mines sequence)
The Rotten sometimes does not properly get health upgrades from items (cannot reproduce, need more information)
