Are you "down" with the Golden Axe Down Stab? (Sega Genesis) This game rocks-a bit of a sentimental favorite-despite being a SNES kid! The down stab can be annoying at times, and a bit tricky to pull off, but it feels like a useful strat, when you pull it off!

Golden Axe has a double tap mechanism, where in order for your character, to run, you have to double tap the d-pad in the direction you're facing. Sometimes, bosses and enemies don't line up. Each of the characters has a down stab. We use Tyris Flare, I guess to have some "flare" lol. She has the best magic out of all the characters, as you'll see on the Fake Addler fight.

It's a beat em' up, which can get repetitive at times, but the art style has that gritty medieval vibe! And the music is so varied! Love the ending music too!
